This family-run hotel in Murten’s old town is situated in a quiet location directly above Lake Murten and offers a breathtaking view of the lake. Each room has its own story to tell and is divided into the following categories according to size: Budget single rooms, double rooms overlooking the old town or lake, family or superior rooms, premium junior and senior suites. We also have our own on-site private spa.
Each of our rooms, regardless of category, is individually styled and furnished. All our hotel rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with shower, WC, hairdryer, TV, clock radio, WiFi and direct dial telephone. We offer budget-friendly rooms with a view of the old town or Lake Murten, which are also available as family rooms on request. Our double rooms are available with a double bed or twin beds.

The rooms in our ‘Superior’ category are located in the hotel’s late Gothic wing, featuring original stone walls dating back to this period. You are welcome to join us aboard the Murtenhof’s boat, which allows you to access a variety of activities on the lake. From relaxed private swimming to wakeboard lessons with local professionals, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The MasterCraft boat blends fun, relaxation and thrilling sporting experiences. It can accommodate up to ten people and the rental price is based on the period of use (not on the number of people). All the essential equipment for fun, relaxation or active adventures is provided.
